The air smells fresh and green. Birds and insects titter and chirp. Cool, velvety petals brush against her back. Her whiskers twitch and ears swivel toward a tiny footstep in the brush. Full of curiosity, she fully embodies her instinct.
This painting is about living fully present in the moment, experiencing the sensations of the garden and its inhabitants, and honoring her own nature.
Original 24×36”, acrylic on canvas. Add a black floater frame for $350.
A ginger flower, tangled petals, protrusions and tendrils, a chaotic nest. It casts a shadow on a brave face turned toward the sun. The process of painting this piece involved making sense of the confusion. I picked one petal at a time and followed its path, weaving and sculpting, and in understanding that one piece, I gradually came to understand the whole. The courage to look forward despite uncertainty is the theme of this painting and something I hold very dear myself these days.
Original acrylic on canvas, 24×24. Add a black floater frame for $110.
