The process of painting this piece involved making sense of the confusion. I picked one petal at a time and followed its path, weaving and sculpting, and in understanding that one piece, I gradually came to understand the whole. The courage to look forward despite uncertainty is the theme of this painting and something I hold very dear myself these days.
