Hello, I’m M!

I am a pet portrait painter from the golden foothills of El Dorado Hills, CA. After participating in high school programs at Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a focus on animation and character design, I went on to self-study portraiture in digital and traditional painting mediums. For the past three years, I have painted custom pet portraits for clients, friends, and family, which I’m delighted to now offer via my website.

For me, art is all about play and discovering the unexpected. My current series of acrylic paintings centers cats in the dreamlike space of our gardens. Suburban gardens are a meeting of realms where humans shape the wild by arranging plants and domesticating companion animals. Featuring lush botanicals and face-painted cats, I aim to float in the mystery of our pets’ inner worlds and the way we shape each other through our interactions in nature.
